Machine Learning Researcher — Upsurge Labs

• Implemented diffusion-based generative models for simulating interactive operating-system environments, drawing on ideas from NeuralOS.
• Trained a vision-language-action model to control a robotic smart lamp from visual observations and natural-language commands using the open-source LeLamp platform.

AI Engineer Intern — Ansel Intelligence

• Developed an LLM-based framework for time-series forecasting in limited-data settings.
• Explored how language-model representations could improve predictions when only sparse historical observations were available.

• Worked with the researchers behind LMQL, a programming language for constrained and controllable language-model inference.
• Implemented steerable decoding algorithms, including a beam-search variant that incorporated sentiment-classification scores directly into token selection.

• Built prototypes for research projects involving diffusion models.
• Developed web-based experimental systems and demonstrations for studies using large language models.

Open Source

I have also contributed to Auki Labs' distributed Gaussian-splatting server and to open-source AI frameworks including LangChain and Agno. My public work is available on GitHub.

• Two-time ICPC regional silver medalist
• Champion team at the 2022 ACM-HK Programming Contest
• Bronze medalist team at the Africa and Arab Collegiate Programming Championship while still in high school
